Princess Eugenie pregnant

Princess Eugenie is pregnant

Princess Eugenie is pregnant.

The 36-year-old royal - who is the daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, and Sarah Ferguson - has confirmed she's expecting her third child with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie shared the news in a post on Instagram on Monday (04.05.26) by adding a picture of a sonogram scan and writing: "Baby Brooksbank due 2026!"

The baby announcement was also shared in a statement from Buckingham Palace which confirmed King Charles has been told the happy news and he is "delighted".

The message posted on social media read: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.

"August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news."

The mother-to-be also has two sons, August, five, and Ernest, two, with Jack, who she married in 2018.

The happy news comes after a tough few months for Princess Eugenie amid the ongoing scandal surrounding her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

The princess recently stepped down as patron of Anti-Slavery International after the former prince - who was stripped of his titles last October - was arrested at his Sandringham home in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office following revelations in the Epstein Files released by the US government.

Afterwards, his younger daughter stepped away from her role with the world's oldest human rights organisation.

Anti-Slavery International told The Observer in a statement: “After seven years, our patronage from HRH Princess Eugenie of York has come to an end. We thank the Princess very much for her support for Anti-Slavery International. We hope that she continues to work to end slavery for good and deliver freedom for everyone.”

There was no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Eugenie, who has yet to comment on her father's legal battle.

Andrew was "released under investigation" around 11 hours after his arrest in February.
