A close friend of Princess Diana has shared a video about family disputes that many believe is a plea for Prince William and Prince Harry to end their long feud.
Julia Samuel, a psychotherapist specialising in grief, was a close friend of the late princess and is a godmother to William's eldest son Prince George.
She was also one of the few people, including Diana's sisters and brother, who were invited to attend an unveiling of a statue of the former Princess of Wales in Kensington Palace Gardens in July 2021.
The best-selling author often posts videos on her Instagram page with advice and tips every Monday.
And last week, she interestingly decided to post a video about "huge fights" within families, just hours before Harry's tell-all memoir Spare was released.
The headline-grabbing autobiography Spare includes claims that William physically attacked Harry and that the King put his own interests above his sons.
The memoir also sees Harry expressing his frustration at being the “spare to the heir”, his mental health struggles, his lonely life before meeting Meghan, and the breakdown of his family relationships.
And in the video, Ms Samuel says: "I've been thinking about families and about how every family has a story. We all have a story of love and loss and joy and pain and that within every family where we love most, we hate most and make our deepest mistakes and there is no such thing as a perfect family."
Ms Samuel also says that there is "no favourite child" in any family and "no one truth" and adds: "Often where there is a death in the family – at the heart of fracture and heartbreak in families -– is the loss of the person they love and the fight for the limited resources of love as they experience them at the time.
"And that can cause huge fights. I know from myself none of us are immune to these fights. I have had many fights around these issues which I have by no means been my best self and not at all proud of.
"Fortunately [these fights] have remained private because none of us want those worst parts of ourselves to be exposed.
"But what I was thinking of was that when families are pushing and pulling there can be this idea that there is one right story or one truth. And that is really never the case. There is no hero or one favourite child. There are multiple stories and multiple truths."
One follower commenting on the video simply said: "Prince Harry..."
While another added: "Best thing you’ve said on here. Timely and spot on."
Since the memoir was released last week, it has been claimed that neither William nor King Charles has been in contact with Harry.
But despite claiming in interviews to promote the book he would like to be reconciled with his royal relatives, a source to The Sun : "There has been no conversations or contact."
This leaves it unclear if Harry and Meghan will be invited to attend the King's coronation, due to take place on May 6.
It also comes just days after another bombshell interview where Harry said he had enough material for two books, but he held back because he does not think his father and brother would “ever forgive” him.
In an interview with Bryony Gordon of The Daily Telegraph, Harry said: “It could have been two books, put it that way.”
Harry also revealed that he worries about his brother’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
He added: "And though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare. And that hurts, that worries me."
The controversial memoir became the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever when his tell-all tale lambasting the royal family was finally published this week.
