Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell says Prince Harry will be 'broken' after 'realising what he's done'

Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell has said he no longer recognises Prince Harry.

The former Royal Household employee believes the Duke of Sussex's recent interviews are "only going to cause him so much more pain."

His comments come after Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey's new Apple documentary, The Me You Can't You, aired earlier this month.

The docu-series sees Harry discuss his struggles with mental health and experiences in the Royal Family before moving to California with his wife Meghan Markle, reports The Mirror.

Addressing the new series in an interview with Closer magazine, Paul claimed: "Doing what he's doing is only going to cause him so much more pain. I don't recognise him now - he's almost become the centre of his own world.

"He's hurting his family and saying things that I think he'll regret."

Paul added: "Meghan has encouraged him to get therapy and change his way of thinking - but I think he'll be left broken when this all stops and he realises what he's done."

In the new Apple series, Harry went into detail about struggling with his past traumas as well as some of the methods he has found helpful.

The Duke, who is also expecting a second child with Meghan, also reflected on the death of his mother as well as struggling with the trauma he associated with London.

He also revealed in the candid conversation that he only started looking into serious therapy after Meghan encouraged the royal to seek professional help.

"I quickly established that if this relationship was going to work, I had to deal with my past," Harry told Oprah in the interview.

He added: "When she said, 'I think you need to see someone,' it was in reaction to an argument that we had. And in that argument, not knowing about it, I reverted back to 12-year-old Harry.

Harry's latest interview alongside Oprah Winfrey came just months after Harry and Meghan sat down with the US talkshow host for an explosive interview that went into detail about their departure from Royal duties.
