A close pal of Princess Diana has shared a photo of her daughter with Prince Harry saying he is "a loss to the royal family and the nation".
Rosa Monckton tweeted the image of her now 24-year-old daughter Domenica Lawson as a child with the young prince to her followers on Sunday.
Domenica, who has Down's Syndrome, is one of Diana's 17 godchildren and is pictured holding a doll and smiling next to Harry who is crouching down.
Rosa, a businesswoman and charity campaigner, captioned the image: "Domenica and Harry. Farewell Prince Harry. Such a loss to the royal family and the nation."
The 66-year-old was one of Diana's best friends and one of the last to see the Princess alive after they holidayed together in Greece a fortnight before she was killed in a car crash in Paris in August 1997 at the age of 36.
The tweet comes after the Queen released a statement revealing Harry and Meghan will keep their HRH titles but not use them after their shock announcement last week that they were stepping back as senior royals.
They will also keep Frogmore Cottage , but will pay back the £2.4miliion Sovereign Grant money used to upgrade the property.
Harry and Meghan will spend more of their time in North America and will not carry out duties from the Spring.
Prince Charles will continue to pay the couple money from the Duchy of Cornwall, although it is not clear how much they will receive.
The Prince and his wife will be free to seek employment, but have pledged to uphold the values of the Queen in any commercial ventures.
Rosa first met Diana in 1991 when they were introduced by the wife to the then Brazilian ambassador Lúcia Flecha de Lima.
She had previously claimed they called themselves "The Three Musketeers".
Rosa helped to set up a Brighton-based charity named Team Domenica, which helps those who have learning disabilities find work training and placements.
Domenica's dad is journalist Dominic Lawson.
