Princess Diana 'never loved Dodi and planned to move to US with secret love'

A trusted friend of Princess Diana has claimed she didn't love Dodi Fayed as her heart belonged to another man.

'The People's Princess' was in a relationship with Dodi, a 42-year-old playboy, when they both died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997.

Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry's mum, was just 36 years old.

Conspiracy theorists have wildly suggested Diana was assassinated because she was expecting a child with Dodi, the son of former Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, and that senior royals hated the idea of a Muslim joining the extended family.

However, Simone Simmons, Diana's trusted psychic and friend, dismissed those claims speaking to Daily Star Online and saying that the royal was in love with someone else.

Simone has claimed Diana confided in her with many of her deepest secrets which included her love for her ex heart surgeon Hasnat Khan.

She also wrote a book titled 'Diana: The Last Word' about her time counselling the princess.

She said: “Diana was never in love with Dodi. She always loved Hasnat Khan, the heart surgeon she dated before Dodi.

“She wanted to move to America or South Africa with Hasnat and was already over Dodi when she died – he was just there to try and make Hasnat jealous. He was just a playboy, not Diana’s type at all.

“I know this because she used to share all her most intimate secrets with me.

"She even told me she hated sex with men with hairy backs, which gave us a good laugh.”

Simone added that Diana planned to ditch Dodi and move with Hasnat to the US - like Harry did with American wife Meghan Markle and their baby son earlier this year.

She said: “Diana viewed the actress Julie Andrews’ house in Los Angeles as a possible place to move but what she really wanted was for Hasnat to come with her.

“She was hounded by so many rumours and false stories about who she was sleeping with and the pressure of her fame was really getting to her.”

Simone recently shared for the first time two haunting phone messages from Diana where she said she had "so much to tell".
