Princess Cruises has unveiled details of its new domestic cruise holidays for summer - and has revealed it will only welcome vaccinated UK residents on board.
The cruise line says it made the decision "given the advanced progress of the UK vaccination programme, and strong expressed preference on the part of guests for this limited series of UK coastal cruises".
Passengers will be required to have received their second dose of one of the approved vaccines at least seven days before travel, and will need to show proof of their vaccination and the dates they received their jab at the terminal, prior to boarding. The cruise line said it will confirm 'approved forms of evidence' closer to the sailing times.
It's worth noting that this won't be a wider policy for the cruise line - the vaccine rule only applies to the new domestic sailings on board Regal Princess and Sky Princess between July 31 and September 28, 2021.

It's not the only cruise line to have made a move of this nature. P&O Cruises unveiled a similar policy earlier this week, also requiring passengers to have been fully vaccinated against Covid to be allowed on board.
So, what will be on offer for those who are vaccinated and can join the Princess Cruises?
The brand's 'Summer Seacations' will run from July through to September with 14 cruises on Regal Princess and eight cruises on Sky Princess.
There will be three- to seven-night itineraries with ports of call including Liverpool, Belfast and Greenock. The brand has said that the ships' restaurants, spas and pools will be open, and there will be entertainment ranging from theatre shows to live musical performances and 'Movies under the Stars'.
All-inclusive fares will start from £539pp for three-night sailings, and guests can book with a £50 deposit booked before May 3.
(It's also worth noting that bookings made by April 30 will be covered by the brand's 'Book with Confidence' meaning you can cancel up to 30 days before sailing and receive your money back as Future Cruise Credit).
The new sailings will go on sale March 24 on princess.com.
