Princess Charlotte wears £23 high street dress to meet Sir David Attenborough

Where the Duchess of Cambridge goes, smart fashion decisions are sure to follow, and that rule extends to her brood too.

During a meeting with her "hero", Sir David Attenborough, Princess Charlotte sported a floral Peter Pan collar dress from Zara (now sold out.)

For the occasion, the five-year-old royal paired her frock with a pair of the Trotters Hampton Canvas plimsolls (£28, buy now) in a zingy cornflower blue hue.

It's not the first time Charlotte has worn the Spanish high street brand and she was photographed wearing a similar Peter Pan-collared dress back in May to deliver meals to those in need during the Coronavirus crisis.

The Duchess of Cambridge opted to wear a denim dress by sustainable designer Gabriela Hearst (£1,295, pre-order here.) The Duchess accessorised the midi dress with her trusty Rupert Sanderson Malory pumps (£475, buy now.)

The family spent time with Sir Attenborough after Kate and Prince William enjoyed an outdoor viewing of his upcoming feature film David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet.

Earlier this year, the Duchess was asked by primary school pupils about the best famous person she'd ever met and she said it had to be Sir David Attenborough.
