Princess Charlotte's different name so she can be 'a normal pupil' at posh London school

While many will expect younger members of the Royal family to receive special treatment while at school, Prince William and Kate Middleton have made it clear that they want their kids to have the most 'normal' childhood possible,

Charlotte and George attend Thomas' Battersea Prep School in southwest London, but rather than being referred to as prince and princess, the pair are treated like every other pupil, My London reports.

This treatment also extends to their names, which Charlotte has had simplified to fit in.

Her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana - official title Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

She said: ”She asked how old Bertie is, and I said he is four and she said, 'Oh, he's the same age as Lottie.' She calls her Lottie!"

So to her friends at school it's likely Princess Charlotte is simply Lottie Cambridge.
