Princess Charlotte’s 11th birthday has been celebrated with the release of a new photograph shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The previously unseen image, captured by Matt Porteous during the family’s Easter break in Cornwall, shows the young royal smiling at the camera while walking through a field of daisies. She is dressed in a black and red striped jumper and blue denim jeans.
The picture was posted on the Kensington Palace Instagram and X accounts, with the message: "Wishing Charlotte a very happy 11th birthday!" This follows Friday’s social media post celebrating the first birthday of the family’s second dog, a brown spaniel named Otto.
The snapshot was also taken in Cornwall by Mr Porteous, to whom the Waleses often turn to mark family occasions.
The image shows Otto looking at the camera and was accompanied by the caption: “Welcome to the family, Otto! 1 today.”
On Wednesday, a snapshot of the family and their two dogs was also shared on social media, to mark William and Kate’s 15th wedding anniversary.
The image, also taken by Mr Porteous in Cornwall, shows the couple lying together in the grass in the sunshine, surrounded by Charlotte, her two brothers Prince George and Prince Louis, and the family’s two dogs Orla and Otto.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have revealed the name of their second dog as they celebrate his first birthday.

They have had Orla since 2020 after their first dog together, cocker spaniel Lupo – which they were given as a wedding present from Kate’s brother James Middleton – died unexpectedly.
The family have now introduced Otto – a brown spaniel from a litter of Orla’s puppies.
A picture of Otto looking at the camera was posted by Kensington Palace on social media on Friday with the caption: “Welcome to the family, Otto! 1 today.”
Orla gave birth to four puppies last May and they starred in William’s 43rd birthday photo on social media last June.
Earlier this week, William and Kate shared a holiday snapshot of their family, lying together in the grass in the sunshine, to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary.
