Prince William and Kate Middleton's children are a big fan of festive gonks, it has emerged.
Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, love the Christmas gnomes from Scandinavia.
In recent years the decorations have boomed in popularity across Britain and Kate Middleton's mum Carole, whose Party Pieces business sells the dolls, said she'd be hiding them around the house to make her grandchildren laugh.
She said: "I’m going to need a few of these cheeky chaps this December, to hide around the house and make my grandchildren laugh.
“As much as I love immaculate decorations, we can’t be too serious at Christmas!”
Festive gonks are based on Scandinavian nisse, creatures from folklore that are similar in appearance to garden gnomes, often described as having long white beards and conical caps.
Gran Carole, 66, is looking forward to virtually decorating her Christmas tree with the help of George, Charlotte and Louis.
It's an annual tradition for the family but has moved online amid the pandemic and Carole will be asking them where to place each decoration.
George, Charlotte and Louis often go to work with Carole at Party Pieces and pretend to run it.
The business was set up by Carole and husband Michael in 1986.
Kate set up the 1st birthday part of the company, auntie Pippa runs the blog and uncle James set up the picture cakes side of the business.
Meanwhile the Queen has told her family she is well enough to host Christmas at Sandringham after recovering from a back sprain.
The monarch, 95, assured them she is feeling “far better” and is “looking forward” to the traditional festive get together at her Norfolk estate.
Concern for the Queen’s health has been heightened in recent weeks after she pulled out of a number of major engagements.
Her Majesty has been resting under doctors’ orders at Windsor Castle after getting injured nearly two weeks ago and last month spending a night in hospital for an unconfirmed condition.
Christmas will have special significance this year, after losing her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip, in April.
