Princess Charlotte and Prince George use non-royal names at school to be 'treated like everyone else'

Princess Charlotte and Prince George use non-royal names at school to be treated like every other child.

They both have started their new academic years at Thomas's Battersea in south London, with six-year-old Charlotte heading into year two and George, eight, starting year four.

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, official title Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, is known as Charlotte Cambridge in the classroom.

This follows the footsteps of her older brother who goes by George Cambridge.

According to the Mirror, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to want their kids to have as 'normal' a childhood as possible and are fully supportive of them.

Their father William and uncle Prince Harry also used the same style for their names whilst at school, both using Wales as their surname.

Insiders say the children are treated just like everyone else at school.
