On Wednesday night, guests including HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Sir Michael Caine came together to celebrate Burlington Arcade’s 200th anniversary with a private dinner underneath its iconic arches.
120 guests - ranging from A-listers to designers - arrived at the luxury shopping destination to raise a glass of champagne to the venue’s storied history.
Princess Beatrice was one of the most stylish guests in attendance, as she braved the chilly British spring evening in a black mini dress and an ankle-length red coat. The Princess bent an unofficial royal style rule and chose to go bare-legged rather than opting for nude tights.
Although Princess Beatrice made headlines at the Portrait Gala when she brought her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi as a plus one, Mozzi did not accompany her this time.
Sir Michael Caine was also in attendance with his wife Shakira Caine. The pair were pictured posing for photographs with co-host Jamie Reuben and Suzanne Wyman (who arrived with her musician husband Bill Wyman).
Guests were treated to an elaborate dinner, which included twists on British classics such as a fillet of beef Wellington and Kentish strawberries served with cheesecake cream.
French patisserie Laduree also provided some signature rainbow macarons.
Other attendees included TV presenter Marissa Montgomery, fragrance expert Jo Malone CBE, Lady Alice Manners, Kate Rothschild, artist Philip Colbert and Otis Ferry.
