Princess Beatrice's husband shares unseen photo of Queen in moving tribute

Princess Beatrice's husband has shared a beautiful unseen picture of the Queen and her devoted husband Prince Philip on his wedding day, amid a heartfelt tribute shared online.

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi shared the sweet image on his Instagram page to his 100,000 followers.

As well as a tribute to the 96-year-old monarch, Edo shared a number of pictures from the family, including one of the Queen driving as a young woman and another with her beloved corgis.

Another showed the proud monarch in a mint green outfit with her husband arriving for Edoardo's July 2020 wedding to Princess Beatrice, the Queen's granddaughter.

He wrote on Instagram: "Incredibly hard to process the last 24 hours.

"What an incredible woman and extraordinary mark she’s left on the entire world. She was the rock on which modern Britain was built.

"Feeling very lucky our little ones got to spend time with her this summer. Rest is Peace Your Majesty. We will miss you so much.

"Broken hearted."

Posted only a short while ago, the post has so far garnered thousands of likes from well wishers passing on their own condolences to the family.

One replied: "Sending you , Princess Beatrice and family our deepest condolences from Australia. We are heartbroken too been crying all night."

Another responded: "Sending so much love to your family.

"The loss of a beloved grandmother is like no other. My heartfelt condolences."

The image of the Queen, resplendent in mint green, was taken from his 2020 wedding when he wed the Queen's granddaughter in a small service in Windsor.

The Monarch, Prince Philip and Prince Andrew were among the group of about 20 guests at the celebrations, which were arranged after the couple's original wedding was cancelled due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Her father, the Duke of York, walked her down the aisle and hosted a reception at his then home the Royal Lodge, Windsor.

Edoardo's toddler son Wolfie was best man and pageboy.

Fewer than 20 guests attended – a far cry from the 2018 wedding of Bea’s sister Eugenie, 30, and Jack Brooksbank, 30, at St George’s Chapel Windsor.

Beatrice and Edo reportedly decided against sharing an official photo on the day itself as they did now want to take the limelight from the late Captain Sir Tom Moore, who was knighted by the Queen for his incredible fundraising efforts during the coronavirus lockdown just hours after the ceremony.
