On September 18 2021, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl.
Two weeks later, Beatrice revealed the name of the newest addition to the Royal Family on Twitter - Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.
The middle name of course pays tribute to Beatrice's grandmother, the Queen, and in doing so, follows a common royal tradition of recent decades.
Many royal women hold the middle name Elizabeth, including Princess Charlotte, Lady Louise Windsor, Zara Tindall, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice and Lena Tindall.
Sienna's first name appears to pay tribute to the father’s Italian roots, as the name Sienna comes from the Tuscan city of Siena.
However, a royal expert noted that Sienna’s name is also a subtle ‘nod’ to Beatrice’s mother Fergie, and her famous red hair.

Speaking on royal podcast Pod Save the Queen, the Mirror's Zoe Forsey said: "You mention Sienna as well ‒ there’s been lots of fans talking about this, you know when people try and come up with the meaning of the name.
“Apparently Sienna is used to describe the reddish brown earth pigment that is used within paintings.
“So people are saying that’s a nod to Fergie.”
Royal editor Russell Myers responded: “Sienna, lovely name, nod to Fergie.”
Earlier this year a close family friend of the couple also told Hello! magazine that Sienna was chosen as a tribute to Beatrice’s mother.
The family friend told the publication: “They were looking for an Italian name which started with ‘S’ for Sarah, to honour the duchess.
“And also reflected the golden rust colour of both the duchess’ hair colour and Beatrice’s, which the new baby shares.”
Fergie herself, also told Hello! that her granddaughter is "very, very beautiful".
Beatrice and Edoardo married in July 2020 in a small ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor.
Edoardo, who is a property developer, also has a four-year-old son named Wolfie from a previous relationship with architect Dara Huang.
When Sienna was born, Edoardo posted an image of his newborn 6lbs 2oz child's footprints on social media.
Captioning the image, Edoardo wrote: “Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. Our life together has just begun, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things that await us.
“Feeling so much love and gratitude for my amazing wife, baby Sienna and Wolfie. These are the days I never want to forget.
“This week, a friend said to me the sweetest saying… that with every child you grow a whole new heart.
“A massive thank you to the midwife and the amazing team at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.”
