Princess Beatrice's baby Sienna added to royal website - despite Lilibet delay

Princess Beatrice's baby daughter has been added to the line of succession on the official Royal Family website - just four weeks after she was born.

Sienna Elizabeth arrived on September 18 and is 11th in line to the throne. She is a 12th great-grandchild for the Queen.

The Royal Family's official website, which includes a page on the line of succession, has been updated to reflect her birth.

This is in comparison to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet, who had to wait almost seven weeks before her name was added to the list.

When Lilibet's older brother Archie was born in 2019, the site was changed to add him to the line of succession after only 15 days.

And when Prince Louis arrived in 2018, the website was updated 12 days after his birth.

A spokesman for Buckingham Palace has previously said the Royal Family website is “updated periodically”.

Sienna's birth did not change the top 10 in the line of succession, however, it did shake up the list for those below this.

Among those, all shifting down a place after her arrival were Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie and her nephew August, Prince Edward, Viscount Severn, Lady Louise Windsor and Princess Anne.

Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, now falls out of the top 20 altogether.

And even though t he baby is 11th in line to the throne, and some kids higher up the line of succession such as Harry and Meghan's children Archie and Lilibet go without titles - Sienna will earn one.

The newborn's title is all down to her father Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who is actually an Italian count.

This means any of his children will also inherit a count or countess title.

Edoardo's dad, Count Allessandro Mapelli Mozzi, once told the Daily Mail : “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation.

“He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

Beatrice and Edoardo announced they were expecting a child together in May after they wed in a secret ceremony in Windsor during lockdown in July 2020.
