Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are expecting a baby this autumn, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The couple married in a private ceremony last July after a postponement due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Their son or daughter will be eleventh in line to the throne, reports PlymouthLive.
The palace said: "The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news."
Speculation has already started as to what the couple will name their child, with bookmakers Coral releasing a list of its punters' top 13 guesses so far.
It is not yet known whether the baby will be a boy or a girl, but the "early favourite" according to the site is Victoria (3-1), after the former Queen.
Coral's John Hill said: “It is no surprise as it obviously has a lot of history in the Royal Family".
Another popular choice is Elizabeth (8-1), after the current Queen.
Arthur, Oliver and Mary are also high on the list, with "big outsiders" including Boris, Kier and Piers.
