Princess Anne of the United Kingdom will visit Thailand on July 16-17, according to the British embassy in Bangkok.
“Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, accompanied by Sir Tim Laurence, will visit the Kingdom of Thailand from 16-17 July, 2026,” the embassy announced on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
It will be the princess’s fourth visit to Thailand after three previous visits in 1972, 1979 and 1987.
While in Thailand, Princess Anne will visit a local school in Bangkok supported by Save The Children Thailand; have an audience with the Thai prime minister and Their Majesties The King and Queen, and will pay her respects to Her Majesty, the late Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, said the embassy.
The princess will also meet Thai female scientists and attend a regional health security showcase, before meeting with a UK-Thailand cultural collaboration, the embassy added.
British Ambassador Mark Gooding said “The princess royal’s fourth visit to Thailand reflects the enduring warmth between our two countries and the important role our royal families continue to play in strengthening the UK-Thailand partnership.”
“The princess royal has visited Thailand on three occasions, in 1979 and 1987, and as Her royal highness accompanied her parents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 1972,” the ambassador added.
