Princes William and Harry 'didn't see each other in private for six months after wedding'

Princes William and Harry didn't see each other in private for six months after the Duke of Sussex's wedding to Meghan Markle , a royal expert has claimed.

While the brothers were seen together at official events - including Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank and Trooping of the Colour - there weren't any further meetings away from the public eye.

At the time, the princes were living just a few doors away from each other at Kensington Palace.

"I was told, after the Royal Wedding, Harry and Meghan didn't see Kate and William personally", claims the Sun's Emily Andrews .

And she doesn't believe this was particularly unusual, saying: "I think behind the scenes, Harry and William’s relationship has always been up and down actually but of course, we’ve never really seen that."

A senior source told Mirror Online: "Much has been said about William and Harry falling out and the reasons as to why they may have occurred but the truth of the matter is both men have made great strides in their relationship in recent months.

"William and Kate were delighted to meet Harry and Meghan’s newborn baby at Easter and it’s in no doubt the two families will be spending more time together in the future."

It understood that the princes have now mended their rift, and it was largely due to Kate.

Both men reportedly “refused to put to bed” the "hurtful rift" until the Duchess stepped in to repair “a complete and utter breakdown of communication”.

As the Mirror revealed earlier this year , the Cambridges and the Sussexes came together for tea after the Royal Family's annual Easter Sunday church service.

Kate advised Harry to offer an olive branch to his brother, which he did by inviting them over to his and Meghan's new home Frogmore Cottage.

They had tea and chatted for around 30 minutes at  Frogmore Cottage .

Kate forged a “very strong friendship” with Harry after she and Wills worked closely with him to launch the Royal Foundation and the mental health charity Heads Together.

They were neighbours at Kensington Palace before Harry married Meghan, with William once joking that he would often come over to raid food from the fridge.
