Major delays following Princes Street collision involving two buses

They are likely to be major delays in Edinburgh city centre this morning following a collision on Princes Street.

Princes Street eastbound was closed for a short time following a collision involving two buses.

Edin Travel, a council-run traffic and travel twitter account, reported the incident shortly before 9am this morning.

It is understood the incident involved a "bump" between two buses at South St David Street, outside Jenners.

Photos from the scene show a Stagecoach bus and Lothian Bus that appear to have been involved in the collision.

The road has now fully reopened however long delays are expected the city centre.

One local reported that traffic is "not moving on The Mound".
