Princes Harry and William issue joint statement about their relationship

Prince Harry and Prince William have issued a statement dismissing a "false story" in a UK newspaper today.

The specific story, which reportedly speculated about their relationship, and publication has not been identified.

The statement, issued on behalf of the Duke of Sussex and Duke of Cambridge, reads: "Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge.

"For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful."

The statement comes as the family was due to discuss the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's future in a meeting at Sandringham today at 11am.

Prince Harry, Prince William and Prince Charles were set to attend, with Meghan joining via a phone call from Vancouver, Canada, where she is currently staying with baby Archie.
