Prince William would be seething over claims made by Meghan Markle about Kate Middleton

Meghan Markle's comments about Kate Middleton during the bombshell Oprah interview last month are alleged to have made Prince William think she "threw Kate under the bus".

Prince Harry and Meghan's controversial chat with the US talk show host last month plunged the monarchy into another crisis when accusations were made of racism within the family.

This came alongside both Price Harry and Meghan's claims about a lack of support for Meghan's mental wellbeing.

And now the Birmingham Mail reports claims made by a royal author that the future king and queen would have been "pretty damn cross" about claims made by Meghan.

This came as she spoke about an incident where Kate allegedly made Meghan cry, despite earlier suggestions it was "the reverse".

Royal author Penny Junor told The Express : "I would have thought one of the things William was most cross about was the fact that Meghan threw Kate under the bus.

"It wasn't Harry, but it was his wife, and he must have known that she was going to do that and he clearly hasn't corrected it in any way.

"It depends how Kate is feeling.

"I must say I would be pretty damn cross."

Asked if she made Kate cry, Meghan told Oprah: "The reverse happened. A few days before the wedding she was upset about something, pertaining to ... the flower girl dresses, and it made me cry. And it really hurt my feelings.”

Harry claimed his father had stopped taking his calls at one point, there were allegations an unnamed royal had raised concerns about their son Archie's skin colour, and that the monarchy had failed to support Meghan with her mental health struggles.

Additionally, when Harry was asked in 2019 about an alleged rift with the Duke of Cambridge, he said he loved his brother dearly but they were "on different paths" and have "good days" and "bad days".
