Prince Harry and Prince William will not be seen behaving like best friends at King Charles' Coronation, but experts claim the feuding brothers will put on a united amicable front for their father.
Buckingham Palace was pleased to confirm that Harry will be a part of the special congregation inside Westminster Abbey on May 6, but it's possible he may not receive a warm welcome back from all his royal relatives, the Mirror reports.
Despite the 'bad blood and betrayal' in recent years, it's claimed that William will 'tolerate' his younger brother at the Coronation for the sake of King Charles. William was at the forefront of many of Harry's shocking allegations in his memoir, Spare, and his Netflix documentary so organisers are reportedly trying to keep the brothers as far away from one another as necessary.
According to experts, 'warm interactions' between the pair are not likely after William rejected his brother's request for a private meeting before the Coronation takes place. Kinsey Schofield, the host of the 'To Di for Daily' podcast, told Fox News: "We know that palace staff is planning every entry, exit, and seat with the battling brothers in mind. The palace's ultimate objective is to avoid conflict".
"William, without a doubt, was the most hurt by Harry's actions. The two have not spoken since the queen's funeral. And certainly not since the Netflix series or book.
"And despite Harry telling media outlets that he would only attend the coronation if his family received an apology... my sources say that no such apology has happened in private."
It's also suggested that William and Kate Middleton still have a 'deep love' for Harry but that does not extend out towards his wife, Meghan Markle.
The Duchess of Sussex will not be attending the King's Coronation as she is remaining at home to look after son, Prince Archie who will turn four on the day of the historic event and their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Schofield continued: "Both William and [his wife] Catherine will tolerate Harry's presence because, despite the bad blood and betrayal, there is a deep love for him in both of them. The same could not be said for Meghan. I think William and Catherine would have had a much harder time navigating Meghan's presence."
According to insiders, Harry was well aware that the highly anticipated event will be 'pretty much the most important day' of the King's life and knew he would always regret it if he didn't attend. However, he is not believed to be taking part in either the King's Procession or the Coronation Procession to and from Buckingham Palace, nor will he be allowed out onto the famous balcony as a non-working royal.
The 'battling brothers' will allegedly keep things civil between them on the day and will be seated several rows away from one another to prevent any huge rows from sparking in front of the cameras. Due to the tensions within the Royal Family, Harry's arrival at Westminster Abbey in a few weeks will be carefully planned to the exact minute.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: "There is no doubt that relations between William and Harry are at an all-time low. They reportedly are not communicating and are unlikely to be seated near each other at Westminster Abbey.
"If Harry does, as is apparently intended, depart almost immediately for California after the ceremony, it is highly unlikely that any meaningful interactions with any members of the royal family will occur. They know they can't trust him, and he is well aware as to why!"
Referring to his brother as 'Willy' throughout his book, The Duke of Sussex accused his brother of plotting with their father and revealed details of that sensational reported fight. He claims that William pushed him to the floor during a row at his Kensington Palace home and left with him a ripped necklace and bruises.
Harry also alleged in Spare that William and Kate encouraged him to wear a Nazi costume to a fancy dress party in 2005 which sparked public outrage at the time. The Duke also discussed being told by William to pretend he didn't know him at Eton college and brought up his brother's 'alarming' thinning hair.
According to sources, Harry wanted a reunion with King Charles and the Prince of Wales to discuss their issues ahead of the Coronation. A source told The Mirror: "Harry has been very clear and his position hasn't wavered – he isn't going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral.
"He's said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s their call, but so far nothing has changed."
