Prince William watches wildlife as palace waits to see interview with Epstein accuser

The Duke of Cambridge was on royal duty in Kuwait today as Buckingham Palace braced itself for further revelations about Prince Andrew.

William was at a nature reserve near Kuwait City where he saw some of its wildlife. He also joined litter pickers following a trail of plastic bottles, packaging and carrier bags washed up in Jahra Nature Reserve.

His visit comes as Panorama is set to show the first UK TV interview with Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein.

Ms Giuffre claimed in Florida court papers she was forced to have sex with Andrew when she was 17, below the state’s age of consent.

It is expected to reveal new details about her time with the US businessman and convicted paedophile.

Andrew’s attempts to defend himself and explain his friendship with Epstein in a BBC Newsnight interview were branded a “car crash” and led to him withdrawing from public duties.

He denies the claims and Buckingham Palace branded the allegations “false and without any foundation”.

The programme airs on BBC1 at 9pm.
