Prince William, the President of the Football Association (FA), will attend the launch of an exciting new mental health campaign at Wembley Stadium today.
The new initiative will harness the power of football to get more people – particularly men – to feel comfortable talking about their mental health, and feel able to support their friends and families through difficult times.
It will also support the important work which is already taking place across the UK to end the stigma surrounding mental health.
At Wembley, the Duke will join a discussion with grassroots football players, coaches and fans from clubs across the country, before delivering a speech to launch the new campaign.
Last week the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex teamed up to launch a text messaging service for people experiencing a mental health crisis.
William, Kate, Meghan and Harry have backed the initiative, called Shout , with £3million from their Royal Foundation.
The free, anonymous service connects people experiencing a "tough moment" with trained volunteers.
Prince William appealed for more people to work as a volunteer for Shout.
The service hopes to have 4,000 volunteers by the end of the year.
Prince William said Shout provides "instant support," adding: "You can have a conversation anywhere and anytime - at school, at home, on the bus, anywhere."
