Prince William to attend Nottinghamshire training site in royal visit

Prince William is set to visit a company in north Nottinghamshire during a visit to the region on Wednesday.

The Duke of Cambridge will meet with bosses at Tarmac's National Skills and Safety Park in Nether Langwith, near Warsop, where he will also meet young apprentices at the site.

William, who is second-in-line to the throne, will then join a meeting with chief executives, managing directors and chairmen of leading UK businesses, discussing social mobility and training for young people.

Tarmac is the UK’s leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business, and its new skills centre provides dedicated training for people moving into the sector.

Based in an active quarry in Nether Langwith, seven miles from Mansfield and just one mile away from Church Warsop, it helps the firm in training apprentices, graduates and those moving into the sector.

The Duke's visit comes just weeks after he attended Stanford Hall, near East Leake, during a royal engagement with Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, his father Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
