Prince William spotted at Edinburgh pub watching Scottish Cup Final

Prince William was spotted enjoying the Scottish Cup final at an Edinburgh bar this afternoon.

The Duke of Cambridge settled down at Cold Town House in the Grassmarket, in the shadows of Edinburgh Castle, to take in the action as Hibs faced St Johnstone at Hampden Park.

Hibs ultimately lost out to a first half Shaun Rooney header, with the Perth club securing a domestic cup double having won the League Cup earlier this season.

Prince William could be seen glued to the match while sat with a number of specially invited frontline workers.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge social media account shared a quick seven second video from the scene of the rooftop bar.

It read: "#ScottishCup final set up!

"Taking this opportunity to thank emergency responders for their dedication and commitment over the last year."

William, along with wife and Duchess Kate, is on a trip north of the border with visits to Fife and Orkney also on the itinerary.

Edinburgh Live reported yesterday that the Duke of Cambridge had been taking parts in football drills at Ainslie Park Stadium, home of Spartans FC.
