Prince William 'so excited' by England clash

The Duke of Cambridge clearly couldn't hide his excitement as he looked ahead to this evening's Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.

The Three Lions face Roberto Mancini's Italians at Wembley looking to win a major competition for the first time since 1966.

William, who is president of the Football Association, will be amongst the 60,000 crowd.

"I can’t really believe this is happening," he enthused.

"So exciting and I just wish you the very best of luck.

"You bring out the very best of England and we are all behind you. The whole country is behind you. So, bring it home."

The Duke went on to heap praise on the players' displays at the tournament so far.

"“What a team performance it’s been," he added.

"Every member of the squad has played their part, and all the back room team as well have been truly essential.

"Gareth (Southgate), Harry (Kane), and to every member of the England team on and off the pitch, I just want to wish you the very best of luck for tonight."
