Prince William has all but washed his hands of his younger brother, Prince Harry, entirely. The two have spent the last few years with little to no contact and it looks like we may be approaching a point of no return for the two brothers.
According to Page Six, royal insiders fear that the rift between the two may be too wide to overcome. In fact, there are concerns that William might not even invite Harry to attend his coronation when the time comes, something which is unprecedented in the history of the royal family.
Not being invited to the coronation is an unusual punishment for Prince Harry
If William does not invite his own brother to the future coronation then he would be practically divorcing him. Of course, divorce is something which is typically not encouraged within the royal family. Sure, we’ve seen a few divorces in the modern royal family, Camilla is King Charles second wife after all, but it’s typically frowned upon. Royal expert Hugo Vickers claimed that “theoretically,” William should invite Harry to the coronation. But in reality he can do what he wants.
Earlier this week anonymous insiders also claimed that the topic of Prince Harry was one topic that was not to be brought up around Prince William. It seems the future king is content to completely cut his brother out of his life for good. It’s entirely possible William could refuse to invite his brother when the time comes.
Breaking royal tradition by not inviting his own brother to the coronation would be the ultimate punishment that William could throw at Harry, but why do all this? An insider in the know cited the BBC interview Harry gave earlier this month as the final straw for the future king.
“I think it’s done … I don’t think there’s [any] coming back from that… Before the interview, we thought, ‘Come on William, extend a hand to your brother. But now it seems that Harry hasn’t learned s**t.”

While Sussex insiders have claimed that Prince Harry still wants to make amends with his brother and the rest of the family it looks as though William is way past that. The Duke of Sussex told the BBC that “there’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious.” Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the rest of his family agree.
Harry has lost the trust of the rest of the royals after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, repeatedly spoke with news outlets about the family. After years of being distant it seems the two formerly close brothers have finally reached the point of no return. Insiders claim that William won’t strip Harry and Meghan of their royal titles, despite previous rumors suggesting he would, but it seems like he doesn’t want anything to do with his little brother anymore.
