Prince William’s messy habit that annoys Kate Middleton when they are relaxing at home

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned from their Christmas break last week and got back into the swing of royal duties.

And during their outings, which included a visit to London's Foundling Museum and a trip to Lancashire, the pair were as ever polite and professional.

But for many royals fans, they will have long pondered what the couple are like in the comfort of their own home at Kensington Palace when they are off duty.

Well, it seems that Prince William has one rather messy trait - and it's something that annoys Kate.

On a trip to an RAF base in Cyprus in 2018, they met military personnel serving on the island and opened a new recreation facility.

Looking around at the new decor of the room, William warned: "Keep the pizza off the sofas".

And then Kate revealed her husband is the worst offender for it, saying: "You're a nightmare with that", reports the Express.

But it seems it's not just pizza that the royal pair enjoy eating - and trying to keep off the sofa - while relaxing at home, as there are other takeaways they are rather partial to on an evening.

When asked what her top takeaway was during an interview on BBC Radio 1 in 2017, Kate insisted: "Curry, definitely. "

But the royal couple can't share their meals as Kate explained that her husband doesn't like her spicy tastes.

Meanwhile, William revealed his favourite curry during an appearance on That Peter Crouch Podcast.

He told the hosts of the BBC show: "Chicken masala, love that, a bit of flavour - I'm not a vindaloo man put it that way."

But like many of us, he also confessed he struggles to decide what cuisine to go for when choosing a takeaway.

The pair also enjoy fish and chips and were last year seen enjoying a fish supper during a trip to the Scottish town of St Andrews, where they met.

The royal couple popped into the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar in the coastal town of Anstruther for a £7.95 takeaway haddock supper, wrapped in paper, which they ate on a bench on the pier.
