Prince William’s 'fears for Harry and Meghan Markle shared by senior royals'

The Duke of Cambridge’s concern for his brother Prince Harry and wife Meghan is shared by other senior royals, the Standard has been told.

Kensington Palace sources told the BBC yesterday that Prince William is “worried” about his sibling after Harry talked candidly about his mental health in a TV documentary.

The interview is also believed to have caused “concern” at both Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, as well as Kensington Palace, where there are genuine worries for the well-being of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, pictured.

Prince William is said to hope his brother and Meghan “are all right” after they told an ITV programme they were struggling.

Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which aired on Sunday, followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, pict on their tour of the south of the continent earlier this month.

The couple both said they were struggling with intense scrutiny from the British tabloid press. Harry said he was still feeling “raw” about the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1997.

He also spoke for the first time about the relationship with his brother, saying that they were on different paths.

A royal household source told the Standard: “[Harry] fears that history is repeating itself. He minds terribly about his wife and son’s personal safety as well as her privacy.”
