Prince William refuses to back I'm A Celebrity's Mike Tindall due to 'tricky' situation

Prince William has refused to back Mike Tindall to win I'm a Celebrity when asked who he wants to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle.

The Prince of Wales was questioned on the rugby star - who is married to his cousin Zara - as he visited Lincolnshire, reports Birmingham Live. And Mike is not actually the Prince's favourite to win, despite their close connection - as he has another pal in the camp.

Instead, the future King may be backing former Lioness Jill Scott, with the pair know to be good friends. The royal gave quite the diplomatic answer when asked who he wants to win on the show.

Corporal Rachael Howes said: "I asked him who he wanted to win, Lioness Jill Scott or his relative Mike Tindall." With his reply explaining: "That's a tricky one."

Mike has become one of the series most-liked characters. The former rugby ace has been telling tales outside of school when it comes to the Royal Family, and even told his campmates how he once split his trousers in front of Princess Anne.

Mike said on the show: "I ripped my trousers, straight in front of her. It happened to be that my boxers that I had on at that time said ‘nibble my nuts’. As I’ve turned round, she’s gone: ‘I’d rather not.’"

Mike also shared some details of his first date with Zara. He said: "We figured out that we both quite like getting smashed. It was a good start.”
