Prince William melts hearts with adorable loving comment about Kate Middleton during Welsh trip

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first walkabout appearance since the pandemic in Wales this week where Prince William let slip an adorable comment about his wife of more than 10 years.

Hundreds of well-wishers gathered in cold temperatures in Abergavenny to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.

But despite the cold conditions the future king melted hearts with a lovely comment about his wife.

Whilst meeting the gathered fans and shaking their hands he jokingly pointed towards his wife and said: "She has the coldest hands ever."

But lovingly recovered with: "But they say 'cold hands, warm heart'".

William and Kate's trip to Wales is one of the many visits the couple will carry out over the coming weeks with a week-long trip to the Caribbean scheduled to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The tour begins on March 19 and ends on March 26 and will take the couple to Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas.

On rare occasions the pair's children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will accompany their parents to public events.

William revealed that he and his wife like to get the children involved before they have to head off on an appearance by pointing on the map where they are heading, The Mirror reports.

According to PEOPLE magazine, another well-wisher, local Liz Brewer, asked the prince how his children were getting on.

And he replied: "The children are very well, thank you.

"They are always asking us where we are going. And we show them where we are on the map."
