Prince William jokes 'we're looking for a babysitter' as royal fan praises kids

Prince William joked with one royal fan that he and Kate were looking for a babysitter as he greeted locals.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were visiting St Thomas Church, a re-developed church in Swansea which supports people in the local area and across the City and County of Swansea.

In a video, the royal fan was filmed congratulating the Prince and Princess on how they were raising their children George, Charlotte and Louis.

The fan added that they are 'incredible', before William quickly replied: "That's very sweet. We're looking for a babysitter".

The fan replied: "Oh I love you, you're so real. Diane would be so proud of you."

It was part of the couple's first official Royal tour of Wales since receiving their titles and were in Anglesey, where they lived 11 years ago, this morning.

Kate, who is now the Princess of Wales, was welcomed to Swansea by a sweet two-year-old, who wore a traditional Welsh outfit.

Two-year-old Charlotte Bunting grinned as she handed Kate a bouquet of flowers before giving the smiling princess a hug.

This was the couple's first official visit to Wales since receiving their new titles.

Kate was presented with a bouquet of pink roses by four-year-old Theo Crompton who was brought down by his mother last minute to experience a "once in a lifetime opportunity".

Theo wore his school uniform, and was lucky enough to meet Prince William and Princess Kate.

He was overwhelmed with excitement, and briefly chatted to the Royal couple who met him at the local RNLI Lifeboat station, one of the oldest lifeboat stations on the Welsh coast.

Theo's mother, Rebecca Crompton, 35, said: "We were actually on the way to school when I changed my mind and decided to bring him down here for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"And now he has just met the future king. Today's visit is history. We had to be here."

St Thomas Church in Swansea has been revitalised over the past two years into a thriving community hub, featuring a huge array of services such as a foodbank, which supports more than 200 people per week.

Swansea Baby Basics gives out vital items to mothers in need across the city.

Additionally, as part of their trip Their Royal Highnesses met those volunteering at the church across different initiatives including Baby Basics and the foodbank.

The duo will continued their tour of Wales this afternoon.
