Prince William kept a touching three-year promise to wife Kate with their 2021 family Christmas card.
The Cambridges shared a previously unseen snap from a trip to Jordan earlier this year, showing Kate, William and children George, Charlotte and Louis sitting outside on rocks.
In 2018 William visited Jordan as part of a tour of the Middle East - but Kate had to miss the trip after giving birth to Prince Louis, the Mirror reports.
During his visit to an archaeological site at Jerash he recreated a snap taken by Kate's family the Middletons during their time living in Jordan in the 1980s.
But it wasn't quite good enough for William, who said while smiling for the camera in front of the historic site: "Need to come back with the family for this shot".
And this year it looks like he kept that promise, taking Kate and their children back to the area.
William's high-profile five-day tour of the region in 2018 was the first official visit to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories by a member of the monarchy on behalf of the Government
At the time, the Duke said Kate was "very upset" to miss the visit as she was keen to return to the area.
In a tweet Kensington Palace said: "Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year’s Christmas card."
