Prince William can 'fly off the handle' if anyone treats Kate a certain way

It has been well-documented how the Duchess of Cambridge handles her royal duties in a confident way.

But that doesn't stop Prince William "flying off the handle" do defend his wife if he feels it necessary, according to a source.

As she approaches her 40th birthday, Kate has several causes that she passionately champions with the full support of her husband, Prince William, who helped to show her the ropes of royal life.

But despite now having more than 10 years of royal experience under her belt, it seems William is still fiercely protective of this wife, The Mirror reports.

And according to one insider, he hates to see his wife treated in a particular way during her working life.

A source told the Daily Mail : "He flies off the handle at any sign of Kate being patronised and stamps that out very quickly. It's one of his triggers.

"Over the years, many people have come up with great ideas for her, but if they are put across in a dismissive way, they've got pretty short shrift from him."

On New Year's Eve, the pair shared a gorgeous photo on Instagram showing them glammed up and on their way to the premiere of the latest James Bond film in September.

They captioned the picture: "Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!"

And body language expert Judi James said the couple present themselves as the "future of the monarchy" and appear "loving, strong and happy" in the stunning snap.

She told the Mirror: "The energy in this pose looks like an echo of those slightly naughty shots we used to see of them giggling and laughing together as they climbed into the backs of limos after partying during their dating days.

"It’s a much more relaxed depiction of their feelings for one another than usual, with both leaning in together grinning and with Kate not just holding William’s hand in her own but placing both her hands around his as though she thinks of him as something very precious.

"It might be easy to assume an air of relief as the smiles sink and they either arrive or drive off back to the comfort of their palaces but William and Kate not only seem to be signalling sustained and authentic levels of enjoyment and shared affection and closeness behind the scenes, the way they share those loving smiled straight into camera implies they want to let us know they like us (their public) too."
