Prince William breaks silence after woman tells him to 'keep going' in royal visit

As readers make their way through 'Spare', Prince William appears to be in good spirits.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted on a royal visit at a hospital in the UK where they were greeted by supporters. Despite being caught in the fallout of Prince Harry's new explosive autobiography, William gave a warm response to a fan.

Marking the first public appearance since the release of 'Spare', The Prince and Princess of Wales were in Merseyside for the opening of the new Royal Liverpool University hospital, as Liverpool Echo reports.

The bombshell book saw the Duke of Sussex make a number of claims about William and Catherine, including that they "both howled" at his infamous Nazi costume in 2005.

Despite the controversy, the couple looked relaxed and smiled as they greeted hospital staff and thanked them for their hard work.

Members of the public rushed to the hospital to catch a glimpse of the couple, and one pensioner left feeling thrilled after speaking to William.

81-year-old Sylvia told the Prince: “Keep going Will, Scousers love you.” To which he replied: “I will do.”

She saw the prince as she arrived for a hospital appointment and said she couldn’t believe she managed to speak to him and grasped his hand.

The pleasant conversation came shortly after William ignored comments about Prince Harry's book from outside the hospital.

As the royal couple arrived one reporter shouted: "Were you hurt by the comments in Harry's book, Sir?" but got no response.

Hospital staff member Nikki Langley was left overjoyed when a smiling William posed for a selfie with her and three colleagues, the five all crowding into the image.

A few minutes later she asked Kate for a picture and the princess joked “I’m going to be told off by William” before posing with Nikki, who said afterwards: “It was a nice surprise, a very nice surprise. I wasn’t surprised they stopped for a selfie.”
