Princess Catherine and Prince William have released a previously unseen collection of their favourite photographs from 2025, offering a rare, personal look back at a year defined by public duty and quieter family moments. The couple selected one image from each month of the year, with every photograph capturing either one or both of them during a meaningful occasion.
Together, the images reflect the wide scope of their responsibilities, from formal state events to more intimate, human moments that rarely make headlines. The collection opens with January’s solemn image from Holocaust Memorial Day in London. The Prince and Princess are shown each holding a candle during the emotional service, which they described as a “great honour.”

The event marked January 27, a day of remembrance for the Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, and this year also commemorated the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. During the service, the couple met and reunited with survivors of the genocide, according to the Daily Mail.

February’s photo shows Catherine visiting a mother and baby unit at HMP Styal in Cheshire. Attending in her role as patron of Action for Children, she highlighted the importance of strong mother and baby relationships. The image captures her in relaxed conversation with three women in the prison garden, two prams resting nearby.
March features the Princess at the St Patrick’s Day Parade of the Irish Guards at Wellington Barracks. Dressed in green, she is surrounded by Guardsmen and was seen putting drinks behind the bar and raising a glass of Guinness during a toast.

In April, Catherine appears again during the couple’s tour of the Inner Hebrides, marking their 14th wedding anniversary. Dressed in tweed, she is photographed peering through makeshift cardboard binoculars, a light-hearted moment from their visit to Mull and Iona.

May’s selection centres on family, showing William and Catherine joined by Prince George at a Buckingham Palace tea party for the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Father and son are seen listening intently to a veteran recounting his memories.
June includes a rare cameo from King Charles III during Trooping the Colour, while July captures Catherine presenting the Wimbledon men’s singles trophy to Jannik Sinner.

Later images show Catherine launching animated films to support children’s workers, William greeting President Donald Trump, meeting Estonian President Alar Karis, playing volleyball on Copacabana Beach ahead of the Earthshot Prize, and finally enjoying a beer at the Welsh Guards’ Christmas party.
Together, the collection offers a thoughtful portrait of a year spent balancing service, family, and moments of genuine warmth.
