Photoshop fail? Prince William and Kate's Christmas card raises eyebrows

Prince William and Kate, along with their children George, Charlotte, and Louis, are no strangers to a Christmas family photo. Their annual Christmas card is released to mark the festive season and is a display of how much the family have grown over the years.

There are now a collection of images that date back to images of young Prince George when he was just a newborn, to seeing eight-year-old Princess Charlotte.

But this year, people can't help but notice that something isn't quite right, and are pointing out what they believe to be Photoshop fails

A black-and-white portrait shared on Saturday (December 9) shows the family of five in white shirts and dark trousers.

Royal fans have spotted that Prince William’s legs are missing from behind Princess Charlotte’s chair, while others have taken a deeper look, only to find that Prince Louis's middle finger is missing, too.

One person asked on X (formerly known as Twitter): "Why does Prince Louis have 6 fingers?"

"Excuse me but where is Prince Louis finger," another person wrote.

Someone else added: "Whatever your feelings about the royals, this is a technically terrible photograph in almost every way."

However, another person noted a reason that could explain why Prince Louis's middle finger can't be seen.

“I think the missing finger is how he’s holding the arm of the chair…." they said.

“And I could vaguely get missing limbs behind the chair/and Charlotte. But Louis should have been in long pants. George definitely giving a side eye to the whole enterprise.”

While another added: "While it's a nice family photo, as soon as I looked at it, I noticed Louis hand. He's missing a finger. That got me looking closer. His right leg looks swollen. Where's William's thigh? Where's Kate's other foot?".

Elsewhere, King Charles III has also released his annual Christmas card which featured an image of himself alongside Queen Camilla. The King is wearing a coronation tunic and the robe of the estate, made of purple silk velvet embroidered in gold, which was also worn by King George VI in 1937.

The Queen's robe of estate was made by Ede and Ravenscroft, and was designed and hand embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework.

Interestingly, in the press note for this picture, it states: "The photograph must not be digitally enhanced, manipulated or modified in any manner or form."
