Prince William and Kate Middleton share loved-up new pictures to mark 10th wedding anniversary

Prince William and Kate Middleton were all smiles in a series of photographs from Kensington Palace released to mark their tenth wedding anniversary.

The Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot with the second-in-line to the throne in a ceremony on April 29, 2011 watched by more than two billion people worldwide.

Both photographs were taken this week by Chris Floyd, with the duchess sporting a dress by Ghost.

In the decade since their big day William and Kate have had three children - George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, three.

At the time William had a strong bond with his brother Harry, who was best man for the ceremony - and the latter reportedly regaled reception guests with a gushing speech in which he described them as a "perfect couple".

Fast forward a decade and although William and Kate's marriage remains strong, the relationship between the brothers is troubled.

In a bombshell interview screened last month, Harry told Oprah Winfrey that William was "trapped" in his role, and claimed the relationship between the two was "space".

Kate has reportedly been playing the role of peacekeeper between the feuding siblings, according to the Daily Mirror.

Harry selflessly gave up mum Diana's sapphire ring so that William could use it to propose to Kate.

When the Princess of Wales passed away following a car crash in 1997, Prince Charles allowed both of his sons to choose pieces of jewellery from her collection to keep.

William initially chose a gold Cartier watch, but it was Harry who was entrusted with the iconic sapphire engagement ring to give to his future bride.

However, a new Amazon Prime documentary has now revealed Harry bequeathed the ring to his brother when he popped the question in 2010.

The ring features a 12-carat oval blue sapphire and surrounded by fourteen solitaire diamonds and is set in 18K white gold.

It's believed Diana picked it herself after being presented with a selection to choose from by her fiancee Charles.
