Prince William and Kate Middleton share intimate behind-the-scenes clip of 'special' Coronation Concert

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a behind-the-scenes video from last night's Coronation Concert.

Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 41, hailed King Charles' star-studded concert 'a night to remember' while sharing clips of them arriving ahead of the musical extravaganza.

Footage shared on the The Prince and Princess of Wales' official Instagram showed Prince William and son Prince George, nine, leading the way up to their seats in the royal box, closely followed by Kate holding hands with Princess Charlotte, eight. While the pair's eldest children were in attendance, viewers were left disappointed not to see the younger Prince Louis at the concert, though official word is that because of his young age.

The rest of the video montage shows highlights from the evening, including clips of the crowd singing, dancing and flying British flags. The slick video also shows footage of the popstars Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Olly Murs who all took to the stage to celebrate King Charles III's Coronation.

Despite starting slightly later than planned, last night's concert went off largely without a hitch, as a host of international pop, classical and opera stars performed in front of 20,000 people on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The video, which was shared last night and has been liked over 740,000 times, also showed a snippet of Prince William's touching tribute to his father King Charles III. The Prince of Wales appeared on stage during the Coronation Concert and made a sweet reference to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth, whilst also praising his father's decades of service, campaigning on green issues, and his celebration of diversity and support for people of all backgrounds, communities and faiths.

In the shortened version of his speech, Prince William says: "A huge thank you to everyone for making this such a special occasion", before rounding off his tribute with "King, country and commonwealth". The video closes with a shot of the royal box standing as they danced and sang along to Take That, who closed the show with a rousing rendition of Never Forget.
