Set the controls for the heart of the rock! We’ve got the premiere of Prince’s new video for you. Marz comes from his 36th studio album, Plectrumelectrum, and sees Prince and 3rdEyeGirl step on the fuzz pedals, crank up the amps and spit forth anger at the state of the world, with Prince protesting that he has lost his job at Macdonald’s for giving away food, “but I couldn’t watch another black child go to school with nothing to eat”.
The video fits with the retro rock feel, as if it’s been taken from a decayed videotape from the 70s, all saturated colours, blurred picture and faux static. Have a look and let us know what you think.
