Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer Prince was rushed to the hospital after his jet made an emergency landing, according to reports.
The “Purple Rain” singer’s private jet made an unplanned landing Friday morning around 1am at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois, west of Chicago, TMZ said.
The celebrity tabloid heard conflicting reports regarding the status of Prince, however. One source said he was still being hospitalised and “not doing well,” while another source said he had been discharged and is doing fine.
Prince had just put on a performance at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre before taking off on the flight.
TMZ later reported that a spokesperson for the star had said he had been suffering from the flu prior to the Atlanta date, and the plane landed at Moline so he could receive treatment there. He later flew on and was reported to be at home.
Representatives for Prince did not immediately respond to request for comment.
