Prince Philip lets fly with F-word during Battle of Britain event

Prince Philip loses patience with a photographer while posing for pictures with World War Two veterans.

The Duke of Edinburgh, an old Naval hand, appeared to revert to some salty language during an overlong photocall at events to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Losing patience as a photographer dithered, the famously straight-talking Prince Philip, 94, seemingly commanded: “Just take the fucking picture!”

His exasperation erupted during a photocall at the RAF Club, which Philip attended with the Duke of Cambridge and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

The moment was caught on video by TV cameras during a day of events commemorating the start of the Battle of Britain in July 1940, which earlier had featured senior members of the royal family, including the Queen, watching an RAF flypast from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

As they say, you can take the man out of the Navy ...
