Prince Louis to 'take part in Christmas tradition with Queen for first time'

Prince Louis is expected to take part in a Christmas experience he has never had before when the Queen and other royals get together for a special event on December 25.

William and Kate's youngest child may now be three but he has had less exposure to public events than his siblings and what is normal for royal children due to Covid.

But on Christmas Day this year he is now ready to attend a service at St Mary Magdalene Church along with the rest of the Royal Family.

Every Christmas the Queen gathers her family at their Sandringham Estate in Norfolk to celebrate the festive season.

His elder siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, previously joined their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Christmas church service in 2016, reports MyLondon.

Last year the tradition couldn’t go ahead last year due to the pandemic but this December they will resume their usual plans and head to Sandringham.

There is plenty for Louis still to do in fact as he has also never been on an official royal tour, despite being easily old enough compared to his siblings.

His older brother George was only 10-months-old when he travelled to Australia and New Zealand in 2014.

When his older sister Charlotte was born in 2015, she and George both travelled to Canada in 2016 and to Poland and Germany in 2017 with their parents.

Even Louis' younger cousin Archie Mountbatten-Windsor has been on his first official tour as he went to South Africa with Harry and Meghan in 2019 before they stepped back from their senior royal duties and relocated to the US.

The Cambridge family were due to carry out a visit to Australia at the beginning of 2020 to visit towns ravaged by the bush fires, but Covid prevented this from happening.

Louis is also yet to make his debut as a pageboy at a royal wedding, despite the fact that his brother and sister have taken on the important roles several times.

His siblings were among the wedding parties at the ceremonies of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Harry and Meghan as well as Pippa Middleton and James Matthews.

Louis' uncle James Middleton got married earlier this year in France but it is not known if the little Prince acted as pageboy.
