Prince Harry whisked pregnant wife Meghan away for a three-night babymoon costing £33,000, it has been reported.
The father-to-be took the Duchess of Sussex on a pre-baby getaway at five-star hotel Heckfield Place, in Hampshire, where they stayed in the most expensive room, according to The Sun.
The Long Room apartment, which costs £10,000 a night, comes with its own dining room and two private terraces.
With the baby due in weeks, the couple reportedly shunned other guests in the evening and instead opted for fireside dinners in their room.
The newspaper quotes a friend of the couple as saying: “Meghan is only a couple of weeks away from giving birth, so Harry really wanted to treat her.
“They wanted total rest and relaxation, and Meghan was really attracted to the organic ethos of the hotel which produces much of its own food on an on-site farm.
“They went for walks in their wellies, Meghan sat on a love-swing hung from a tree and they ate delicious food.”
It is not known if the Duke and Duchess were charged full price for their stay at the hotel, which is owned by US billionaire George Chan and features a spa and cinema.
The Sun reports the bill, which would have included more than £1000 for three protection officers during the getaway, could have topped £33,000.
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
