Prince Harry was terrified of reaction as he returned for late Philip's funeral

Prince Harry admitted he was frightened of the reaction on his return to the UK for Philip's funeral.

Prince Philip's funeral was held at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle just more than a week after his death at the age of 99.

The whole world was watching when the Duke of Sussex reunited with his family after his and Meghan Markle 's Oprah interview tore a rift between them.

Tensions with his family were mounting and naturally Harry feared facing the cameras everywhere he turned.

Speaking to Oprah for Apple + TV's documentary The Me You Can't See, he said: "I was worried about it, I was afraid."

With the exception of his heart pounding, Harry managed to keep his cool for the funeral.

He added: "It definitely made it a lot easier, but the heart still pounds."

Only after a row with Meghan, Harry started serious therapy to deal with his "past".

"I quickly established that if this relationship was going to work, I had to deal with my past," Harry told Oprah.

Harry featured taking part in an EMDR session which is a process therapy aimed at helping emotional distress by briefly focusing on a traumatic memory.

The funeral come just weeks after Meghan and Harry made bombshell claims about the Royal family in a scathing Oprah interview.

Social media was awash with a backlash and Ofcom were hit with more than five thousand complaints.
