Prince Harry steps down from charity patronage despite listing it on Sussex Royal site

Prince Harry has stepped down from one of his charity patronages – despite listing it on the Sussex Royal website he set up with wife Meghan.

But his patronage ended last year, before he stepped back from royal life and set up his new website.

As well as Harry still listing it among 14 charities he supports, he remained on Map Action’s website until last month.

A palace insider said: “It’ll be worrying for others hoping the Sussexes will not abandon their charities.”

Other causes are said to have sought assurances Harry is still committed.

In January, he told charity Sentebale, which he co-founded, how quitting The Firm would hit his position.

He said: “We’re not walking away. Our hope was to continue serving the Queen and Commonwealth without public funding. That wasn’t possible.”

A spokesman for Harry could not be reached.
