Prince Harry has been accused of throwing his whole family under the bus by a royal expert, who branded his latest interview as "embarrassing" and "shameless".
The Duke of Sussex sat down with Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert podcast, where he opened up about the struggles he'd faced growing up as a member of the royal family.
In the interview, Harry said: "There is no blame.
"I don't think we should be pointing the finger or blaming anybody, but certainly when it comes to parenting, if I've experienced some form of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father or my parents had suffered, I'm going to make sure I break that cycle so that I don't pass it on, basically.
"It's a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway so we as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say 'you know what, that happened to me, I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen to you'."

He added: "It's hard to do but for me it comes down to awareness. I never saw it, I never knew about it, and then suddenly I started to piece it together and go 'OK, so this is where he went to school, this is what happened, I know this about his life, I also know that is connected to his parents so that means he's treated me the way he was treated, so how can I change that for my own kids?'"
But his comments haven't gone down well with some commentators, who believe Harry has taken aim at not only his father, Prince Charles, but also the Queen and the late Duke of Edinburgh.

Royal expert Robert Jobson said on Australian breakfast show Sunrise: "He believes this himself, and mental health is a big, big issue out there, but come on - really to keep harping on like this is getting embarrassing.
"To criticise his father for his parenting skills, but also the Queen and Prince Philip, who only just had his funeral - he's only just lost his grandfather. I think it smacks of pretty shameless behaviour.
"I know for a fact that people around them have heard it and seen reports online and it's going to be all over the papers."

Mr Jobson went on to claim that Charles has been "trying to keep an olive branch out for Harry and to Meghan and he'd prefer to have them on-side, but it doesn't seem like Harry is in any way listening."
The Duke of Sussex went on to compare living under scrutiny as a member of the royal family to the 1998 film The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey as a man oblivious to the fact that his entire life is a TV show, and to being an animal in a zoo.

He also revealed that he met up with his future wife in a London supermarket in the early days of their relationship and the couple pretended not to know each other.
Having stepped down from royal duties in January 2020 with wife Meghan and their son Archie, Harry has now made a new life for themselves across the pond in Los Angeles and this summer will welcome a baby girl.
Royals and aides are said to be frustrated that Harry continues to speak publicly about his personal relationships with family members.
The source told the Daily Mail: "They appear to be making careers of talking about their previous ones.
"It is not helpful."
