Prince Harry revealed the moment he saw the Queen after she died he was happy as she'd "finished life and Phillip was waiting for her."
Speaking to Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, Harry said he questioned whether it was a good idea for him to come Balmoral to say goodbye to the 96-year-old monarch.
He had learned his grandmother was under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland and asked Prince William if he and other members of the family were travelling up to see her.
Harry said: “I asked my brother, I said: ‘What are your plans? How are you and Kate getting up there?’
"And then, a couple of hours later, you know, all of the family members that live within the Windsor and Ascot area were jumping on a plane together, a plane with 12, 14, maybe 16 seats,” he said.
By the time Harry arrived at Balmoral his grandmother had died.
Harry revealed when he eventually arrived to Balmoral he was met by Princess Anne who arrived to greet him and asked him whether he wanted to see his grandmother alone.
He asked himself whether it was a good idea to say goodbye to his grandmother but quickly decided he needed to say goodbye to her.
Harry told Anderson Cooper's 60 Minutes: "I walked into the hall, and my aunt was there to greet me. And she asked me if I wanted to see her. I thought about it for about five seconds, thinking, 'Is this a good idea?'
He said: "And I was, like, "You know what? You can-- you can do this. You-- you need to say goodbye."
Harry decided to go upstairs and spend some time with the Queen alone as he reflected on her incredible life.
He went into her bedroom where she was resting and took off his jacket and sat there reflecting on her legacy.
And it was during those raw moments he revealed was happy for her as she was at peace and finally reunited with her husband Prince Phillip.
He added: "So I went upstairs, took my jacket off and walked in and just spent some time with her alone. She was in her bedroom. I was actually - I was really happy for her.
"Because she'd finished life. She'd completed life, and her husband was - was waiting for her. And the two of them are buried together."
