Prince Harry says William 'plotted revenge' in Scotland after King Charles' decision

Prince Harry has shared that his brother has been 'plotting revenge' on him since they fought as young boys, with an incident in Scotland showing the Duke his sibling's true colours.

In Harry's new memoir, Spare, he goes into detail about almost every aspect of his family life, from a young boy to a man with a wife and two children. He also describes the struggles he has suffered at the hands of his family - in particular his brother William and father, King Charles III.

Early on in the book, Harry describes how he and his sibling would fight often if there were "no other common enemies around", and during one scuffle in Scotland, it all came to a head.

In the book, Harry wrote: "Once in Scotland, on the way to the River Spey, we started scuffling and soon were in a full scrap, rolling back and forth, trading blows.

"Pa swerved to the side of the road, shouted at Willy [Prince William] to get out.

"Me? Why? Pa didn't feel the need to explain. Out.

"Willy turned to me, furious. He felt I got away with everything. He stepped out of the car, stomped to the back-up car with all the bodyguards, strapped himself in (We always wore seatbelts after Mummy's disappearance)."

Harry claims that his brother felt wronged in that moment, that Harry had been just as much of a culprit as he had been - but didn't get punished.

The Prince finished the small story by saying: "The convoy resumed. Now and then I peered out of the back window.

"Behind us, I could just make out the future King of England, plotting his revenge."

The Duke pinpointed that fight in Scotland as the turning point in his and William's relationship - where his brother decided it was a rivalry instead of just a silly scuffle.

Prince Harry's tell-all memoir, Spare, is out now and can be purchased from most supermarkets and retailers in the UK.
